Celebrating Marriage Giveaway

If it isn't painfully obvious, I love weddings, and I love them mostly because I love "love" and couples in love.  When I heard about the Prop 8 reversal, I wanted to do something to celebrate that fact that love between two people can equal marriage regardless of sexual preference.  Lucky me, I have a few friends that wanted to jump on board too.

Same-sex couples can enter by sending an email to lori@paperandthreadstudio.com.  Please include a picture of the happy couple and tell us a little bit about you and your wedding (including the date) and how winning this giveaway would impact your wedding plans.  Please note that this is open to same-sex couples getting married in the San Diego or Orange County area.

One lucky couple will receive:

-up to 100 custom letterpress invitations (designed by Paper and Thread Studio and printed by Cleanwash Letterpress)

-day-of wedding coordination (provided by Swann Soirees)

-complimentary photo booth rental (provided by After the Engagement)

-an engagement photography session (provided by Melissa McClure)

-wedding day photography (provided by Alison Yin)

-personal florals (boutenierre, bouquet) (provided by Floral Occasions)

This is such a fantastic giveaway aimed at such wonderful couples, which is unfortunately sometimes understated or overlooked by promoters of wedding services and products. These companies are certainly breaking that convention, and very good for them! I hope that similar events with this kind of attitude will be replicated here up in Canada!

OH WOWZERS! How absolutely amazing is this give-away?! And how much would we LOVE to take you up on it, if we didn't already have most of the items on your list covered! (And good thing since the wedding is a mere 40 days away now!) I CAN tell you straight away that we wouldn't be so worried about our bills and freaked out over $$ if we were able to participate- so that freedom from worry/stress will be huge for some lucky couple! AND if any of your photogs are just dying to give a cute couple without a lot of cash/time left until the wedding an engagement shoot (also known as a courthouse wedding if they lift the Stay on Judge Walkers ruling) then pretty please sign us up! :)
